b) Carrier Development Training
- ECSDC also serves immigrants by providing job training. The training prepares needy immigrants to join the workforce and/or capacitate them to compete in the labor market and obtain gainful employment.

- This covers job search strategies and techniques, resume writing, interview techniques. Many newcomers and others find jobs through the ECSDC’s referrals and follow-up.

c) Basic Computer Literacy
- Arming immigrants with computer knowledge is part of our training program. This program aims to provide instructions to the newcomers in the components of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic skills in accessing the internet and using email.

- With the help of this program many were successful in finding work as technical support staff.
