The Ethiopian Community Services and Development Council, Inc. (ECSDC) is a not for profit, non-political, community-based organization established in Washington, DC in November 20002. The Center is created to serve Ethiopia and other immigrants residing in the Washington DC area. It has obtained its tax-exempt 501 (C3) status.

To work for the success, common welfare and well being of the African immigrant community residing in the District of Columbia and to instill in them the American ideals in order that they would undergo a smooth transitional process and attain a self-sustainable status in their new country focusing in particular on removing barriers to self-sufficiency.

Services and programs are available to African immigrants, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, sex, age, gender, social status, or ethnic origin. There is no cost to the participants of our different programs. This is our service policy.
